4th of July Celebrations in Duchesne County

Duchesne County is ready to celebrate freedom this Fourth of July weekend. In Duchesne City activities will be on Saturday, July 3rd. From 7am to 10am at Wallace Park there will be Lion’s Club Breakfast. The parade will be on Main Street starting at 10:30am.

The stage will be set up right on Vernal Avenue and Highway 40 making it something that has never been done before to this extent.

Crews continue work on the Oil Springs Fire south of Rangely in Rio Blanco County. As of the June 30th report, County Roads 113, 116 and BLM road 1045 are still closed and all are asked to use caution when driving along Highway 139.

Patriotic Field of Flags On Display; Yellow Ribbons Available to Dedicate

The Freestone Walking Park is a breathtaking sight as the Patriotic Field of Flags is now on display. This is the second year for the field of flags as part of the Dinosaurland Freedom Fest. “The flag field includes over 600 flags that remind us of our country and freedoms,” shares Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion.
