Utah First State to Pilot the Mobile Driver’s License

Utah is seeing steps moving forward in the Mobile Driver’s License Pilot program. A Mobile Driver’s License (or mDL) is a highly secure, official version of a person’s driver’s license or state-issued ID card on an individual’s phone. The app allows individuals to select the needed personal information in situations like ordering drinks, at the airport, or at a car rental with a phone and only the needed information.
