Ashley National Forest Advises Against Venturing Into High Country
Ashley National Forest is advising against venturing into the high country of the Forest, including attempts at the Highline Trail or accessing lakes for recreation. “The Highline Trail in May is considered impassable, unless one has serious experience in wet snow drifts in excess of five feet deep and below-freezing conditions above treeline,” shares the Forest announcement.

School Districts NOT Requiring Masks Last Week of School
Uintah School District announced Thursday that they will NOT require students, employees, or visitors to its campuses to wear a mask, during the last week of school. Terra Academy and Duchesne County School District have made similar announcements following Utah Governor Spencer Cox’s announcement Thursday that the statewide mask mandate for K through 12 public schools will end on May 24th.

New Stop Light Promised For Naples City To Help With Anticipated Bus Traffic
A new stop light is destined for Naples City on Highway 40 at 1000 South. Naples City Mayor Dean Baker confirms that plans are underway for the light and for a good reason. Uintah School District’s administration will be moving to their new property in that area including the entire fleet of school buses as part of the district’s transportation department.
