Mothers are the backbone of any community and here in the Uintah Basin there is a desire to let ALL mothers know that they are appreciated. The Uintah County Heritage Museum is asking anyone that has crafting talent, those that have a deep love of mothers or those that want to serve in a meaningful way to join the cause of making special Mother’s Day cards.

Ute Indian Tribe Enacts Water Restrictions as 50 Homes Without Water

The Ute Indian Tribe Water Systems Department announced Wednesday that they are enacting water restrictions. Water Systems Assistant Director Jenna Reed made the announcement stating first a notice that 50 homes on the Uriah Heap system are experiencing low pressure or no water due to low peak and drought.

COVID-19 Transmission Index (4/15-4/21)

The local COVID-19 Transmission Index levels are Uintah and Duchesne County at the Moderate Level and Daggett County at the Low Level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 5 percent and there were 51 cases in the past 14 days.
