Nominees Announced for Vacancy on 8th District Juvenile Court

Nominees have been selected by the Eighth District Judicial Nominating Commission for a vacancy on the Eighth District Juvenile Court. According to UtahPolicy.com, the vacancy is the result of Judge Keith Eddington retiring this coming June. Comments can be submitted to the Nominating Commission at judicialvacancies@utah.gov.

DWR’s Community Fishing Pond Program Celebrates 20 Years

The Old Fort Ponds in Uintah County has been a popular addition to the local fishing scene which is all part of a statewide program that brings fishing closer to communities. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources shared in a press release this week that their community fisheries program is celebrating 20 years in Utah.

After a very long year, TriCounty Health Department is reporting on a hopeful trend. TriCounty Health shared on Monday that week by week COVID-19 case counts are on the decline. From April 10th through the 17th there were 35 new COVID-19 positive cases in the tri-county area.

Uintah High to Host Vaccination Event for Youth 16 and Older

Uintah High School will host a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination event for TriCounty Health Department this Thursday, April 22nd, as well as next month on Thursday, May 13th. “This vaccination event will use the Pfizer vaccine, which can be administered to youth 16 and up,” shares Uintah School District.
