Intoxicated Roosevelt Man Fires Rounds Inside Apartment/Into Neighbor Home

Amazingly and thankfully no one was injured during an incident on Thursday when an intoxicated man began firing rounds in his Roosevelt home, several of which went through the wall into his neighbor’s home. 34-year-old Scott Rueuben Cesspooch was arrested on December 10th for the offenses of Intoxication, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs.

Uintah County Latest With Confirmed Cases of Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease

Uintah County has joined a growing list of counties in Utah with confirmed cases of RHDV-2, Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease. The Division of Wildlife Resources announced the following in a press release: Prior to the most recent discovery between Fort Duchesne and Lapoint in Uintah County, rabbit hemorrhagic disease in Utah had been found only in San Juan, Wayne, Sanpete and Iron counties. RHDV-2 only infects rabbits.

COVID-19 Update

The spread of COVID-19 continues in the TriCounty area. On Friday, TriCounty Health Department reported that there were 616 active cases out of 1,858 and 10 total deaths. As of Sunday night, the state reported on coronavirus.utah.gov that as of Sunday night the TriCounty Health District has two new deaths for a total of 12 and 1,924 total confirmed cases, an increase of 66 from Friday’s report.

CIB Funding Approved for New Roosevelt Library

Roosevelt City is one major step closer to receiving a beautiful new library. The Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library System shared the news on Thursday stating that Duchesne County presented the Roosevelt library project that day to the Community Impact Board requesting funding.
