Uintah School District COVID-19 Quarantine Guidelines Update

Uintah School District provided a district update on Friday sharing some “good news” concerning state quarantine guidelines. Governor Gary Herbert has announced that when school resumes on January 4th, those who have close contact at school with another individual who tests positive for COVID-19 will not be required to quarantine if both individuals were wearing masks at the time of contact.

Utah’s job market continues to improve, especially compared to much of the country. November’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the state is 4.3 percent, that is up slightly from 4.1 percent in October. The national unemployment rate went from 6.9 percent in October to 6.7 percent in November.

Uintah High Athletics Moving to 5A in 2021-2022 School Year

The Utah High School Activities Association Board of Trustees voted Thursday to move all Uintah High School sports and activities from 4A to 5A starting in the 2021 – 2022 school year. The news was announced in a press release from Uintah High Athletics on Thursday.
