Uintah Basin Healthcare is celebrating National Handwashing Awareness Week. While not quite as famous as Christmas, the importance of this message has renewed validity during the COVID-19 pandemic. The slogan for this week is Life Is Better With Clean Hands. Regular hand washing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others.

Uintah High School is teetering on the line between remaining open and switching to some level of reduced in-person attendance as it nears the state health department’s definition of a COVID-19 Outbreak in a school. According to the District’s announcement, as of December 1st, there have been 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days at Uintah High School.
