A Vernal man who played an important role in the education of thousands of youth will be remembered as he is laid to rest today. WJ Wamsley passed away on Sunday at the age of 96. Wamsley taught school in Arizona, Texas, and Utah over a 55 year career in education, retiring at the age of 83.

Uintah High School is teetering on the line between remaining open and switching to some level of reduced in-person attendance as it nears the state health department’s definition of a COVID-19 Outbreak in a school.
