To say 2020 is a year of change might be the understatement of the century. Among them, the yearly traditional “Oh Fudge” event that takes place at the Uintah County Library has had to adjust and go virtual. It has also added a new “Oh Fudge” 2020 Contest to the fun.

Evan is just 17 years old and battling HLH (Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis). HLH is a severe systemic inflammatory syndrome that can be fatal.

Investigation Underway of Voters Being Turned Away in Duchesne County

Voting in Duchesne County was thrust into the spotlight on Tuesday after reports surfaced online of an initially unidentified woman turning voters away from the polling location. As reports were shared on media outlets along the Wasatch Front and the identity was still unknown, Duchesne County Clerk/Auditor Joann Evans confirmed to Evans Family Media that the person was NOT a Duchesne County employee or someone from within the Clerk’s Office.

Tentative Budget for Uintah County 2021 is Available for Public Review

In a recent press release, Uintah County has announced the tentative budget for 2021. There are several significant budget highlights. 2020 budgeted expenditures were $74.5 million dollars while the budgeted expenditures for 2021 are set at $48.8 million dollars, a decrease of $25.7 million dollars or 34 percent.

A citation was issued in an accident that involved a school bus in Uintah County on Monday afternoon. According to the press release from the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV collided with the school bus after the driver of the SUV failed to stop for a red light at 2000 West 500 North.
