After serving as interim commissioner of higher education for the last year, Dave Woolstenhulme was appointed to the position full time. The newly appointed 18-member Utah Board of Higher Education approved the appointment during its inaugural meeting on July 1st.

Youth Production and Full Season 5 Lineup Coming Up from Vernal Theatre: LIVE
With a plan in place to adhere to COVID-19 safety recommendations, Vernal Theatre:LIVE is moving forward with a full schedule. Young hopefuls ages 8 to 16 auditioned on Monday night for this summer’s all youth production of The Wizard of Oz. Two full casts had their first rehearsal on Tuesday night and the show is scheduled to open July 30th.

RED FLAG conditions were warned throughout the area and unfortunately they contributed to the difficulty that crews have been having battling the Streeter Fire in Moffat County.
