From the time COVID-19 made its presence known in the TriCounty Health District, the health department has reported the overall total individuals that have tested positive for COVID-19 based on PCR Positive results.

Abbot Fire Burning in Indian Canyon
Crews are battling a fire that started Monday in Duchesne County. According to Utah Fire Info, federal and local firefighters responded to the Abbott Fire in Duchesne County. “The fire is burning in the right fork of Indian Canyon about 10 miles southwest of Duchesne,” shares Utah Fire Info.
$5.1 Million in Cares Act Funds Added to Uintah County Budget
Uintah County issued a press release on Monday sharing that the Commission approved the addition of $5.1 million dollars in federal CARES Act funds to the current fiscal year budget. CARES stands for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security and the CARES Act monies are expected to be received by the county in three installments.

A Vernal woman was booked into Uintah County Jail last week and has been charged with 3rd Degree Felony Attempted Manslaughter.
Highway 40 Gusher Project Update
The Gusher Highway 40 construction project is moving forward at a steady pace. Paving will start on Monday, July 13th and will continue throughout the week. The construction crews will be working Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.
