The Uintah County Commission met on Monday, June 1st and within the regular scheduled meeting two items were decided on. First, the commission unanimously voted to “extend the local emergency declaration due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic that continue to affect businesses throughout the county. ̈

Drilling Update From Uintah Basin Small Business Development Center
The Uintah Basin Small Business Development Center provided a Uintah Basin drilling update on June 1st. “Approved applications for permits to drill (APD) were up significantly in May,” shares the update.

Outlaw ATV Jamboree Welcomes Hundreds For 3 Day Event
A huge crowd of ATV enthusiasts from near and far enjoyed 3 days of outdoor fun at Uintah County’s Outlaw ATV Jamboree held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This year’s turnout of 450 participants was nearly double that of last year.

The Uintah Basin Junior Livestock Show and Sale is still going on this week and options are available to participate and bid from the comfort of your own home. Due to COVID-19 requirements, the show and sale this year are different than years past.
Daggett County Offices No Longer Requiring Appointments
Daggett County officials have announced that they are easing up on restrictions at the county offices. “Members of the public who need to conduct business with offices located inside the Daggett County building and courthouse no longer need to make an appointment first,” shares the announcement.
