Uintah Basin Healthcare Announces Revised Visitation Policy

With Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett among the counties in the state to enter the Yellow (low-risk) Phase in the Utah Leads Together plan, Uintah Basin Healthcare has announced revisions to their visitation policy. The revised visitation policy takes effect today, May 19th, and includes the following adjustments: Hospital and clinic settings will now allow one visitor for ER, Surgery, OB, Med Surg/ICU, and Clinics.

New local cases of COVID-19 have brought the overall total of confirmed cases for the TriCounty Health District to 19 as of the Sunday Situational Update on www.tricountyhealth.com. Uintah County now has 8 overall total confirmed cases with 6 listed as Recovered.

Uintah County Provides Information on June’s Primary Election

Utah’s Primary Election will be on June 30th and Uintah County is doing their part to keep the public informed. While the election will be conducted entirely by mail drop boxes will be available for depositing mail-in ballots until 8pm on Election Day, shares Uintah County. There will be no polling places on Election Day.

BHI Building Purchased by Uintah School District

BHI and the Uintah School District have reached an agreement that is being called a win-win solution for both entities. The Uintah School District announced Friday that they have signed a contract to purchase the BHI building in Naples.

UDOT Highway 40 Strawberry Valley Construction Update

Construction resumed on Monday on the Highway 40 Strawberry Valley UDOT project. According to UDOT, crews will begin removing the roadway surface at MilePost 46 moving west. “Traffic will shift to the south side of the roadway, with pilot car operations. The speed limit will be reduced, and lanes will be restricted to 12 feet.
