Several areas at and around Flaming Gorge Reservoir will be closed starting today. According to an announcement Wednesday evening, Ashley National Forest has decided to close the State Line Cove Area for up to 14 days beginning April 9th due to increased use within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in Daggett County.

Crash Involving Garbage Truck Closes US-191 on Wednesday
US-191 in Daggett County was closed for several hours on Wednesday following a crash. According to Utah Highway Patrol, a garbage truck traveling south at Mile Marker 390 went off the road and tipped onto its side, spilling trash onto the road.

Vernal City Gives Update on Main Street UDOT Drainage Project
An important Vernal City project is now underway. Vernal City shared on Tuesday evening that work has begun to install a storm drain bypass at Main Street from 600 West to the green dinosaur. The project will also include replacement of a section of corroded storm drain pipe between 800 West and 700 West.

Local golf courses are providing locals with a much welcome outing during this time of spending more time at home. Dinaland Golf Course is open with the following guidelines shared on March 28th. The course is open to Tri-County residents only and requires a tee time (no walk-ons allowed).
