One person is dead and two more are in critical condition after a two vehicle accident on Highway 40 at MM 50 on Tuesday morning. According to Utah Highway Patrol PIO Sgt. Nick Street, a red pickup truck hauling a trailer was traveling eastbound past Strawberry Reservoir when it hit ice on the roadway and lost control.

Local Student Receives Grant to Study Basin Air Quality

Charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Against Duchesne County Man Dropped
Charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor against a Duchesne County School District employee have been dropped. Charges were filed last year on May 4th against 49-year-old Darin Ace Thomas including two 1st Degree Felony charges of Criminal Conspiracy, two 3rd Degree Felony charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, one 3rd Degree Felony charge of Criminal Conspiracy, and one Misdemeanor charge of Sexual Solicitation.
