The Roosevelt Branch Library took to Facebook with some exciting news on Wednesday announcing that Duchesne County is moving forward with building a larger library in Roosevelt. The library staff has been pushing this for over 5 years and now that the ball is rolling, they want to see this dream become a reality and are asking for community support.

It’s Here! Cheer On the Special Olympics Annual Bocce Ball Tournament in Vernal
Tomorrow is the big day for Uintah Basin Special Olympians who are ready to compete in the Bocce Ball Tournament of the North Eastern Utah Division of Special Olympics. While less well-known locally, this annual event hosts an average of 100 to 120 competitors from the Uintah Basin with many advancing to state competition.
Sheep Creek Middle Fork Scheduled for Rotenone Treatment
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources continues its projects to restore native cutthroat trout. Their next project will take place this month using rotenone within the Middle Fork of the Sheep Creek drainage in the Ashley National Forest. “The treatment on Middle Fork Sheep Creek will occur September 27th, 2018,” shares Ashley National Forest.
