For this week’s recognition, Team Uintah is shining a light on teachers and held a barbecue on Thursday to celebrate those teachers finishing up their first year teaching with Uintah School District.

The weather held out for a great day of fishing on Saturday for the Flaming Gorge Fish Derby. The annual Flaming Gorge Fish Derby is one of the largest freshwater fishing derbies in the USA with up to 400 teams each year competing in multiple categories.

Many breathed a sigh of relief at the announcement on Thursday that Bradley Moore, the man wanted for a shooting in Fort Duchesne, was found and in police custody. Perhaps no one was quite so relieved as the staff and students at Eagle View Elementary who had spent multiple school days at varying levels of lockdown during the massive manhunt.
