Crews continue to battle a wildfire in the Pine Ridge area of Deep Creek/Dry Fork. According to UtahFireInfo.gov, the Pine Ridge Fire was called in at 1:03pm Saturday afternoon on private and BLM land 18 miles northwest of Vernal.

Sunday Afternoon Update on Pine Ridge Fire
Suppression efforts on the Pine Ridge Fire northwest of Vernal continue. Officials report that the fireline held well overnight. As of Sunday at noon, containment was estimated at 10 percent. The most active part of the fire is east off Sawtooth Ridge and the fire behavior was reported as creeping and backing.

The Ute Tribe announced Tuesday that a historic agreement has been reached betweenthe Tribe and the townsite of Myton regarding joint marketing of water in the UintaBasin. According to the press release dated May 22nd, the agreement provides thatMyton and the Tribe will jointly market water resources to energy developers in need ofwater for oil and gas development activities on and near the Uintah and OurayReservation.
Shed a Total Loss in Uintah County Fire
A fire in Uintah County resulted in the total loss of one structure. According to UintahCounty Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond, the fire occurred Thursday afternoon. Vernal FireDepartment responded to the call at 3000 North Vernal Avenue and quickly contained theblaze.
