UBTech Practical Nursing and POST Graduates Take Pledges/Receive Awards
Following the UBTech graduation commencement on May 2nd, the Practical Nursing and POST graduates took their pledges and received awards. There were 22 Practical Nursing students who took the Nightingale Pledge that they will adhere to the nursing profession code of ethics.
Woman Injured in ATV Crash in Sweetwater County
A Sweetwater County woman was seriously injured on Saturday in an ATV crash in the area west of Green River. According to Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell, a deputy and her K9 were dispatched in the afternoon to the Telephone Canyon area on a report of an all-terrain vehicle mishap.

The trial for Jerry Neal Flatlip, Randall Flatlip, and Larson Rondeau who are charged with raping a young Uintah County girl in 2016 are underway in Salt Lake County’s 3rd District Court.

UBTech Graduation Celebrates First ‘UBTech’ Graduates
The Uintah Basin Technical College celebrated its first class of ‘UBTech’ graduates on May 2nd at the Roosevelt Junior High School. The graduating class of the newly renamed UBTech included 514 students.
Vandals Joyride on Dinaland Golf Course; Damage Estimated at $10,000
Dinaland Golf Course Superintendent Chad Shafer was met with quite a sight on Friday morning due to the handiwork of what appears to be several vandals. Sometime late Thursday night/early Friday morning vandals chose the golf course as the target for their fun. According to Shafer, carts were used to joyride around the golf course causing damage, knocking signs and posts out of the ground, driving donuts on the greens, tearing up grass and eventually driving the carts into the ponds, fully submerging them.
Man Remains At Large After Fort Duchesne Shooting Incident
The BIA announced Monday morning before 8:00am that Bradley James Moore is still not in custody and that all reports have been exhausted after an almost 30 hour extensive search. The BIA and FBI announced Sunday around noon that they were working an active shooting incident in the Fort Duchesne area with Moore as the suspect who was considered “armed and dangerous.”
