The TriCounty Health Department is providing the community with information on Hepatitis A and how to prevent exposure and infection. While the state health department has announced that there is an outbreak in the state, TriCounty Health Director Jordan Mathis says there are no confirmed cases in the TriCounty Health District at this time.

Roosevelt City Projects; State Street Work Wraps Up for Winter
The Roosevelt City State Street project has wrapped up for the winter. While the original goal was to finish the project in 2017, Burdick Materials explained that they would work into November paving and striping State Street on the south end but the completion of the project would be delayed in order to guarantee the high quality of work they strive for.
Body Found in White River May Be Rangely Man Missing Since September
The family and friends of a man missing since September are waiting to hear if a body discovered in the White River on November 30th is their missing loved one. According to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, 66-year-old Peter Christian Ruffner had not been seen since Friday, September 29th, and help from the Colorado Bureau of Investigations was requested.
Salt Lake Man Charged with Felony Mail Theft in Duchesne County
A Salt Lake man has been charged with felony mail theft in Duchesne County. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, 51-year-old Russell Curtis Young is facing the second degree felony for allegedly stealing two voided checks from a Duchesne County man’s mailbox in August.

Investigation Underway After Body Discovered in River Outside Rangely
An investigation is underway after a body was discovered on Wednesday about 4 miles west of Rangely, Colorado. According to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Mazzola was on patrol and visited the Texas Beach area along the White River as part of the continued effort to search for Peter Ruffner who has been missing since early September.
