Renovations on the Ashley National Forest service offices are well underway. Work on all the offices include upgrading and replacing wiring, drywall, plumbing, door replacement, and floor replacement.

Northwest Colorado has been hit hard the last few weeks by wildfire. The latest is the lightning caused Pine Tree Fire which started Saturday afternoon in western Moffat county and grew to over 4,400 acres by Sunday night.
Department of Interior Limits NEPA Processes to a Year; 150 Pages
The Department of the Interior has announced new restrictions to streamline the National Environmental Protection Act or NEPA(Nee-Puh) process. According to an E&E News report, the Interior Department has directed that Environmental Impact Statements “shall not be more than 150 pages or 300 pages for unusually complex projects.”
