Local Representation at RNC
Rebel rousing may not be typical of Utahns but that didn’t stop Utah’s delegates at the Republican National Convention from having their voices heard this week. Proposed Hunting Changes
The cougar and bobcat populations in Utah are healthy and as a result DWR biologists are proposing several minor changes to the cougar hunting season. According to the Division of Wildlife Resources, biologists are concerned by the number of sheep and cattle that cougars killed last season. There were 60 incidents of cougars attacking livestock which is almost double the incidents from the year before. As a result, biologists are recommending that additional cougars be taken during the 2016 – 2017 hunting season.
