Effective August 4th, the Uintah County Library will have new operating hours. The change was announced during Tuesday’s Uintah County Commission meeting, explaining that the reduction in hours is due to changes in federal funding but still aims to maintain a high-quality library experience. “While adapting to budget requirements, the County and Library leadership have prioritized maintaining all current programming, protecting core library services, and preserving all staff positions,” shares the Uintah County announcement. “The new schedule was developed using data on peak library usage to ensure the most efficient and effective access for the community…The Uintah County Library will continue to focus on providing exceptional service, fostering lifelong learning, and supporting the educational needs of residents of Uintah County.” The library now closes one hour earlier at 8pm on Monday through Thursday and two hours earlier at 4pm on Friday and Saturday.
